Ever put in real work at the gym and still feel like you're not getting anywhere? Or maybe you walk in, look around at all the equipment, and just... freeze, not sure where to even start?
You are not alone. Gyms can feel intimidating, and nobody really explains what you should be doing or why. So you end up guessing.
My Training Philosophy
After 15+ years doing this, here's what I've learned actually works: functional movement training.
Think about it this way: your body wasn't built to isolate one muscle at a time, it was built to move the way you move all day long. Reaching, bending, lifting, twisting. So instead of training muscles in isolation, we train movement, getting your upper body, lower body, and core all working together like they're supposed to. That's where real strength is built, the kind you actually use, plus a core that's strong because it's doing its job, not just because you did 100 crunches.
In practice, that means I build sessions around six core movement patterns: squat, lunge, hinge, push, pull, and twist. Add in some focused core work and HIIT, and you walk out feeling stronger and like you actually accomplished something, not just wiped out.
Remote personal training is a great option for those who have access to gym equipment and are self motivated to workout out. I have two options available for remote training:
